A Great Book for Any Leader!

 

I want to put in a plug for a wonderful book I just finished reading. It's titled, "The Best of the Gallup Management Journal 2001-2007," edited by Geoffrey Brewer and Barb Sanford.

Gallup has done some cutting edge research focused on managing the human side of business and publishes a monthly ezine that focuses on various elements of employee engagement and customer service. A subscription to the ezine is $95 but this book captures all of the past articles. The cover price is $30; you can get it through Amazon for $19.80.

The book is divided into five sections:

  • Employee
  • Customer
  • Brand
  • Leadership
  • Performance

Each section contains several articles on the topic and I found most to be thought provoking. Any leader should get value from the book.
